Jan Possehl Scholl is an active player and teacher in the metro area. She has taught instrumental music in metro area public schools and is presently teaching clarinet at the University of Minnesota and the University of Northwestern St. Paul. Prior to coming to the Twin Cities, she was a 22 year member of The United States Army Band, “Pershing’s Own” in Washington, DC.
Julia Heinen is an internationally acclaimed clarinetist who has performed extensively across Europe and the Americas. She has served on juries for major international competitions and held leadership roles in the International Clarinet Association, including co-artistic director of ClarinetFest® 2011. A Professor of Music at Cal State Northridge since 1995, she joined the University of Minnesota as Lecturer in Clarinet in 2023. Her work advocates for arts accessibility and equity, with a focus on underrepresented communities. Heinen is a Buffet Crampon, D’Addario, and Silverstein Performing Artist.
Peter Haberman, Director of Bands at Concordia College Moorhead, is a conductor and educator who serves as the director of bands and professor of music at Concordia College where he is the conductor of The Concordia Band.
